Horse riding in the Algarve

The great thing about this trip is the flexibility. You can choose from a range of rides to put together your own riding programme. How much you ride depends on your experience, your preferences and, of course, how much time you want to spend in the saddle during your holiday.

1.5 hours – Countryside Ride
A leisurely outdoor ride through the Algarve’s countryside. You’ll ride along quiet country tracks and through open countryside. A lovely way to explore the area from the back of a horse. The rides are led by a guide and take place in small groups of up to 6 riders.

3 hours – Salgados Nature Reserve Ride
Fancy a slightly longer ride? Then the three-hour ride through the Salgados Nature Reserve is a wonderful experience. You’ll ride through the nature reserve and along natural trails, with views of Praia Grande and the coast along the way. This ride also takes place in a small group of up to 6 riders and is led by a guide.

Full-Day Algarve Countryside Ride
A whole day dedicated to horse riding and exploring the beautiful Algarve countryside. For this special day, the horses are transported by trailer to a selected location. This allows you to explore other rural areas of the Algarve on horseback. The day consists of a guided trail ride along beautiful countryside routes, and lunch is included. This experience is available for small groups of up to 4 riders.

Beginners’ Ride
Even for those with little or no riding experience, there is an opportunity to try horse riding. During this gentle introductory ride of around 30 minutes, you’ll ride under supervision along safe local trails around the Quinta. This ride is suitable for beginners, families and children, and is available for a maximum of two riders at a time.

This trip doesn’t have a fixed itinerary where every day is packed from early morning until late at night. It’s precisely this freedom that makes this holiday so special. You decide for yourself how much you want to spend riding and how much time you want to set aside to enjoy the Algarve.
